Profile

During a four year apprenticeship Clive Jackson, a qualified electrician, gained City & Guilds Electrical Part 1 and Part 2. He then went on to pass Part 3 Testing Methods, Electronics and Electrical Engineering to ONC/HNC level. After completing training Clive worked as a maintenance electrician in London's West End in such buildings as Fortnum and Mason, Hilton Hotel and BBC Broadcasting House.

These qualifications and experience led to an overseas contract with Costain Construction on the Tsing Ma-Ma Wan Bridge in Hong Kong - at the time the worlds longest suspension bridge. His role was to provide the site with power and lighting and to maintain the batching plant machinery. Eventually he was supervising up to forty electricans of various nationalities.
